They call her Dune Walker. Legends say she was born from the sands of the hottest desert and blessed with immortality. She is the guide for lost travelers and their savior when they fall dying. Zuri is the oasis and a cool desert night, the relief that shade brings from the sweltering sun. But Zuri is no immortal, only a simple merchant who has made a deeper mark venturing across deserts than others combined. She was born from the hottest sands however. Why else would she be so legendary in the tales spoken of her? Her experience is what makes her name so infamous, having been taught at an early age how to survive and to see the life in a dead land. Zuri makes her living traveling great distances to trade little and earn ample. She has quite the silver tongue and sharp, alluring eyes. When she walks, she sways like a desert viper when it slithers across the sand; graceful and predatory. Her practiced movements are mesmerizing to watch, especially when you can see her muscles ripple beneath her shimmering scales. She's beautifully intriguing. |

Her paws are deft with skilled swiftness. If she wanted to, she could be a rather successful pickpocket, but her moral code obstructs her from such a degrading practice. Instead, Zuri applies herself to elaborate tapestry weavings. Journeys across the desert are expensive and complex to prepare. To pass the time, she'll weave. Zuri enjoys weaving intricate ancient images into her work. When she's ready to begin another desert travel of hers, she has completed at least one tapestry, which she sells for extra pocket cash. There have only been a few times in her life where Zuri has almost lost herself to the desert. Once, when she was young and careless, she forgot her compass and had to rely on the stars to guide her to an oasis. Another time, after the death of her adoptive father, she let her emotions best her and for a few days, she lost her way, aimlessly wandering in an empty shell of her former self. A sign from the desert forced her to collect herself and she eventually managed to seek out some help. Never again will she come unprepared or lose herself. |
