Biography
The Second Day 05/07/18
Whyvrith didn't like to take chances so, when a migrating pair of Skydancers visited the clan and laid a single egg before leaving to serve Plaguebringer, the clan leader went straight to Hestia to inquire about the future of the young female the parents had left behind. Being a Water flight dragon, Hestia wasn't as attuned to Plaguebringer as she could have been and her visions were often blurry, without context, and unclear in general. Upon looking at the young Skydancer, Hestia hesitantly instructed the clan leader to put her through the Necromantic trials as well.
Remy raised even more concerns for Whyvrith than Locke had. The young dragon was timid and unenthusiastic about taking the trials. Whyvrith practically had to drag her to Rotrock Rim and, even then, she set herself up much farther away from the Wyrmwound than the previous trial-goer. Whyvrith snorted and left her there; not really expecting much to come of this hatchling.
Day:--
Remy waited for a few days before the fever struck her. Her body felt like it was on fire and she was so thirsty. At night, she felt frozen. Fluid bubbled in her lungs and she was wracked with coughing fits. One night, something caught her attention through her misery.
It was the sound of another dragon shrieking in pain. Remy lifted her head and tried to source the noise in the darkness. Movement drew her eye to the Wrymwound where, in the dim glow of the cauldron, something thrashed on the ground. The young Skydancer heaved herself up and made her way over to the Mirror dragon. He wouldn't respond to anything she said, so she assumed he was too sick to pay attention to his surroundings. Remy could understand that; she also felt terrible.
Her strength was dwindling rapidly, so she lowered herself to the ground and pressed her body against the other dragon's in an attempt to offer him comfort. It was a challenge to avoid the thrashing claws, but she managed. They would both survive this together.
