I hear him. He's there. He's flying, again, and again. He zigzags, he tries to sow me. But he will not be able to do so. A wing cut, and wounds open ... it does not forgive. If he had reacted faster, he would have had a chance of survival ... but no. As always, my prey only flee when they are injured. How sad. I could have had more fun.
I'm following him. A gust of wind, and he crumbles to the ground. He is terrified. He looks for me, then flies in the opposite direction. My speed, my advantage, allows me to catch him in a short time. He is slowed by his bloody wounds. I plate it on the ground. He begs me. He's screaming for help. Then nothing. His throat cut, he can not say anything anymore.

TRAINING

It's always the same. The training is too simple. A model is not a good opponent for me. It's boring.
In fact, I train more during my missions than during training. As we say, it is better to study on the field ... However, my mentor is persuaded that this training is useful. Useful for him, maybe, but not for me! I have no satisfaction in beating a lifeless mannequin. It's far more fun to see the blood dripping from my prey. And much more enjoyable to see them on the ground, dead.
My mentor and I do not have the same vision of the world. He may be an assassin, but he does not have a strong taste for murder ... something I do not understand.
However, he remains an excellent mentor.

THE MARSHMALLOW PRINCESS

When my mentor said that our client was someone important, I did not expect someone as important as the King of Lygtïem. A king, really? But what kind of king, in fact? Calling assassins ... not very noble, coming from someone that important. And what for, exactly? Kill robbers, and save his daughter who was kidnapped. You must be joking! But my mentor accepted, and I was forced to accompany him ... I didn't want to.
During the whole trip, my mentor only told me of the good of the king and his dear daughter .... among other things, I learned that she was of an incomparable beauty, as sweet as a candy... a princess in marshmallow, in short. But hey, at least it makes us easy money.
The assassination went as planned. In no time, all the robbers lay on the ground, bathing in their own blood, slashed throats and scratched bodies. I took no pleasure in killing them; they were so... fragile and weak ... And it was while looking for some precious goods that I saw her. She was glowing in her corner, very frightened. Her scales were stained with dust and blood, but we could see their natural shine ... cream. A little frightened marshmallow. But a very beautiful marshmallow.
I didn't really understood what happened next. My mentor took the princess on his back, and flew away, leaving me alone in this cave. I had to run after him, but he was proud of him. However, we arrived almost at the same time. I suspect he slowed down on the way.
At the castle, the king greatly congratulated us. We didn't do anything special; they were terrible, these bandits. However, during his thanks, I was elsewhere. I stared at the princess and, when she looked at me, I could not help but blush, looking away.
I think I fell in love...

FEELINGS

The palace's gardens are really beautiful.
The king of Lygtïem, as a generous king, has allowed me and my mentor to access the gardens when we want, if we do not break anything. As a good flower lover, Mist was delighted. And while he comes to these gardens to admire the beauty of these flowers, I come to admire a completely different one: Princess Radiance.
We got to know each other better over time. She carries well her name, miss marsmallow... When I think about it, it's been a month now that we've saved her, and she's regained her brightness in such a short time... That's what is good with her. She's not the kind of princess who is scared for nothing, and to who the blood is repugnant. She knew how to pass besides this trauma, and breathes again!
"You are very quiet." she said, getting me out of my thoughts. I smile at her.
"I was just thinking."
"Oh, and why, dear?"
"It's nothing important, don't worry." I replied in a whisper.
We continue our tour in the gardens, talking, laughing... Spending time with the princess is good for me. Mist is convinced of it, and he has succeeded in convincing me of it. He said that seeing some purity changes my habits. Which is the case, no doubt, but... I live a too dangerous life for a sweetness like Radiance.
However, we continue our discussion. Her charm doesn't reach me anymore. I mean... yes, it continues to reach me, but I no longer blush when I see her or speak to her. I smile.
"Tell me, Vengeresse..."
"Hmm?"
"Have you ever liked someone?"
What to answer her? That she is the chosen one of my stone heart, risking that this gets out and that she will be in danger? Or lie to her, and potentially disappoint her? In both cases, there's a problem...
"I ... it's complicated..." I finally said.
"What do you mean?" she asked me then.
"Let's say ... yes, I love a person, but ... for her safety, it's better that she doesn't know it." I whispered.
"Oh, Ven', you know you can tell me everything, right?" she begged me, with her kitten eyes.
After a moment of silence, during which she begged me, again, and again ... I cracked.
"You're the one I love!" I whisper.
"I... I beg your pardon?" she asked.
"You're... you are the one I love." I said.
It was when seeing the little glimmer in her eyes, her smile, but above all her blush... that I realized that this feeling was mutual.

A CHILD ?

As usual, Radiance and I were walking around the palace gardens, which we now know by heart. We explored every corner of this place, to the point of finding small secret places where we liked to hide to be quiet, without anyone ever coming to bother us. Alone, we can prove our love, and talk about our days, our secrets ... And our wishes. And Radiance's one, that day, was more than peculiar.

"Ven?" she started.
"Hum?"
"Now that we can consider ourselves as a couple… would you like to have a child?" she said, moving her fingers, sign of her nervousness.
My brain stoped working, the time to assimilate the information. The mouth slightly opened, and with a blank look, I'm speechless. Radiance pat my head so that I can come back on earth. I shake my head, then fixed in the direction of my princess.
"A- a- a child? I exclaimed, surprised. I think a little, before falling in front of a wall. First of all... we can't make a child... I began, and then... it will be dangerous for us to have a child... I mean..."
"I know... blablabla, I'm a murderer and I've got a lot of ennemies, blablabla..."
"I di-" I wanted to say, before being interrupted by my partner.
"Yes! Yes, you are always saying this to justify everything! I feel the anger going up to her nose. But hey! You know how to defend yourself, you know how to defend me, and here, in the castle, there are guards and everything is guarded!" she announces to reassure me.
“But… we can't have a child!”
"We can adopt, you know. I’m pretty sure there is at least one kid to who we can give a house… don’t you want to have a bigger family?" Elle me prend les mains, et les tient, me regardant droit dans les yeux, les joues légèrement rougies.
"It’ll be great, but… I don't know... Dis-je, génée. I’m not sure that a kid would like me as a mother… furthermore, we are both females, and… some dragons consider that a child should have a father and a mother, not two mothers or two fathers…" expliquais-je.
"We don’t care what they think! And I’m the princess. They will not dare to antagonize my father for so small stuff." dit-elle dans un ton légèrement orgueilleux.
"Radiance..." dis-je tout bas.
"Ven, listen... If anything happens, I'll be persuasive against those who have anything to say towards us!"
"You believe that they will take seriously your angel's face?" rigolais-je.
"I can be pretty persuasive... I’ve had a good professor who showed me everything." She said with a smile, and a wink.
"Should I feel concerned?" I asked with a grin.
"Yes, my lady" she replied, giving me a kiss on the muzzle.
Finally, Radiance and I started a conversation on another subject. The atmosphere relaxed quickly, although I can't get this question out of my mind, which is looping in my head... " Would I like to have a child? "
