The Arcane Original, Clan Treasurer
Very level-headed and exceedingly polite for a spiral dragon. Excellent at maths, but can be withdrawn and standoffish. Hates the color red with a passion. Kirin's one of the best fighters in the clan, and she taught Azulea all about poisoning, skills she has because her former clan was one of ruthless assassins. The adults wouldn't even name their hatchlings until they'd killed someone. Kirin has since renounced that killer's name, and found acceptance as her pink-loving, quiet, mathematician self in the Sanctuary.
Her parlor is where she intimidates-- ahem, greets guests and would-be thieves, as well as where she does most of her accounting with Scopoth day in and day out.

 Scopoth helps with filing, organizing, and hiding or destroying paperwork when needed. Their photographic memory helps her pull off some very impressive legal maneuvers when anyone needs help erasing themselves or their past, or Robin Hood-ing money off rich, bad dragons. |
Snipe likes to snipe dragons with her words instead of her arrows, and is a good friend to Kirin. They find comfort in each other-- similar experiences bring shared understanding of such struggles.

Author's Note: this writing is... old. but it's relevant!

____It was dark that night in the Wispwillow Grove, so she hadn't noticed the tomato plants until she stepped on one with a very loud squelch. A small, dark blur came and struck her out of nowhere, and she woke up in a cottage. Strangely, her wounds had been dressed, she'd been placed in a very nice nest, and there was a delicious smell permeating the house.
____Immediately on guard, the young spiral attempted to leave the soft nest she woke up in. A large green bogsneak appeared in the doorway. Summoned by her struggles, it seemed.
____"Oh, no, don't get up yet, dearie. Mud did quite a number on you," said the old bog, fretting over the startled spiral.
____"... mud?"
____The elder chuckled. "My oldest familiar. He's very protective of the tomatoes, as you know," she said, levelling the too-small spiral with a teasing look. She flinched back into the nest. The bog's kind expression didn't change.
____It got... kinder, if anything, which was a strange reaction, in her mind.
____Then, in a small voice, she asked, "Why... why are you taking care of me? I ruined your tomatoes..."
____The bogsneak hummed, considering. "You look like you need it, dear," was her simple answer.
____The nameless spiral started crying.
____This strange dragon, who didn't know her, who she didn't know, who was just so considerate and trusting that she blew Kirin's whole harsh worldview out of the water. Kirin and Verdant's first meeting paved the way for Kirin to heal and grow from her terrible, bloody childhood, learning new applications for her deadly skills and finding a new home with Verdant, and later the Sanctuary, where she is appreciated and has a good purpose to live.
