Biography

The Misunderstood Enchantress

Venue-Big.png

Born in the Highland Scrub of the Shifting Expanse Droplet was always entranced by the rippling waves on the sea shore below. She found she had a knack for beguiling and mystifying others, influencing their perceptions and emotions. Her abilities were not valued by the clan of her birth however. Being an emotional and impulsive young adult she grew frustrated, thinking that if only she had been born in the sea below, there those mysterious and fluid dragons would have welcomed and valued her gifts. The grass is always greener on the other side after all.

Finally the day came that she worked up the courage to take the plunge down to the Tsunami Flats below. Unfortunately she would find the locals to be less welcoming than she had hoped. The Tsunami Flats are a frontier land but have historically been well protected by The Tidelord. Ever since the god has gone missing however, the locals have been in a state of tenuous uncertainty when it comes to their safety. The first dragon Droplet happened across was not hostile, but he made it clear she was not welcome. In a panic and overwhelmed by her fear of rejection, Droplet tried to use her magic to coerce the dragon into welcoming her. It was at this moment that some of his clan-mates happened upon the scene. She was driven away by the outraged clan and word of an enchantress soon spread all across the sea.

Heartbroken, Droplet fled. She travelled north along the shore away from the Tsunami Flats and away from her old home. Word travels fast in the sea, because every dragon she encountered kept their distance. Even Light Flight dragons near the coast seemed to know her reputation. Droplet eventually came upon the the Zephyr Steppes of Wind territory. She was surprised when the dragons there approached her to ask her questions. They weren't put off at all by the nature of her magics. Some would tease her for her infamy, but it was playful and sympathetic. They were welcoming, jovial, and most importantly they saw value in her talents. Droplet had found a home at last.
