They weren’t too upset about it. It gave them confidence as they climbed. Perhaps if they were super awesome at climbing then everyone would finally get their name right. That would be something. Ost had grown up on a farm. It had been fun, playing in the leaves and scolding the family cat, but they always wanted to be known for something more than plants. Ost looked at their registration scroll for the climb... the one that had all the legal stuff and liability information with fine print. Then they frowned at the coffee they had bought to keep them awake. “I can’t believe they got my name wrong on the coffee.” They shook their head. Their name was Ost! Not Oat! Ost!

All in all, they weren’t too upset about it. It gave them confidence as they climbed. Perhaps if they were super awesome at climbing then everyone would finally get their name right.

That would be something. Ost had grown up on a farm, harvesting apples and food for dragons all across Sorienth. It had been fun, playing in the leaves and scolding the family cat. When Ost was ready to explore on their own, they took an internship at a local healer’s shop, learning remedies and stuff. They enjoyed it, but they always wanted to be known for something more, much more, than... plants and herbs. Something taller and brighter, like the ice and stars... and the mountain itself. They just weren’t sure exactly what, but they had time to think on it.

Ost took a sip of their coffee, nearly burning their tongue. “How is this still this hot?” They flailed. Ost opened the lid, only to be rewarded with a face full of steam. They grumbled, shoving the lid back on, and kept climbing.
