Perhaps the greatest persuasionist in the clan, Rutledge uses his sweet-as-Carolina-molasses drawl to entice hundreds of souls into paying the small fee of entry into The Grand Illusion.

His past in the Abiding Boneyard was a harsh one, and as a result, most of his flirtatious kindness is a facade. His many eyes are always wide open to ensure that nobody tries to enter without paying their dues. Rutledge would easily be the wealthiest of the group were it not for his many bets with Trimalchio that never end in his favor.
