Vega is a child of Salena, a guardian of dreams, and Albedo, a guardian of physical bodies. With these skills, respectively inherited and learned, she followed in her parents' footsteps to become a guardian of the night. As one with such an occupation, she flies out each night to ensure that her clan is safe from invaders who use the darkness of the night as a weapon.

Vega was trained with her nestmates, Altair and Deneb. Each of the three found their own niche in the art of fighting. Vega prefers to keep to the skies no matter the time of day. When on guard, she puts her love of high altitudes along with her exceptional vision to use. Should she suspect a creature, she tucks her wings to stoop towards her target. Once close enough, she opens her wings and slams her talons into her prey with a force that tends to break bones. For this reason, she wears sturdy gauntlets and boots. Alternately, she could graze the hide of her victim or simply come to a dusty stop in front of them. After all, not all encounters need to end with such finality.

During times of leisure, Vega is more often than not is seen in the sky, a dark speck in the air in the daytime and another glimmer up above in the nighttime. High above where others tend to neglect to look, she enjoys the peace and the wind against her hide. From time to time, she races birds as they migrate from one end of Sornieth to the other. She can also be seen occasionally snatching falling zephyr sparrows from their foolhardy climbs before they find themselves in their deadly plummet. The sparrows tend not to be very grateful for her help.
