Abyss is the only member of his clutch that decided to remain in his birth clan; something that surprised his lair mates, for the young Wildclaw is the epitome of unsettled. He's rarely found at home, always wandering off into the wilderness and dragging back anything he finds interesting. Abyss has a particular fascination with water and the sea, and is an excellent swimmer, doing most of the Clan's fishing. Despite his wanderlust, the truth is Abyss loves having a safe place to come home to, and an audience for all his outrageous stories and tales of adventure. It's hard to tell fact from fiction with his tales, as there's always at least a bit of truth embroidered with the exaggerations, often backed up with some shiny object or treasure he's brought back as 'proof'.

Like his mate Drift, he has no need of a clan-bracelet but wears one anyways in solidarity with the Imperial. He's a reluctant flyer after an unfortunate fall as a hatchling, preferring to run or swim all over the clan's territory rather than take to the skies. Their lack of offspring is secretly a relief to the Wildclaw, who inherited Nyx's disinterest in progeny, only even more so. He's picked up some of the basics as a Healer from his sire, enough to keep himself out of trouble when Abyss' adventures take a turn for the worse or at least patch up the resulting damage.
