The clan calls her Machinae-- slightly strange, even for a dragon name-- but you're not sure what to make of that (especially since she tends to shriek the 'Mach' bit of her name).


Her eyes aren't eyes, really. They glow, like gateways or lost stars. The markings across her body pulse and writhe, and her motions are strange-- graceful, but overly calculated. Some members of the clan swear they've seen her phase through some of the walls...

Are you hearing the voice aloud or in your mind? It weaves in and out of existence, though somehow you're able to piece the sounds together coherently.

Machinae collects scrap materials from clans in the area and builds new things with them. She has a somewhat intimidating presence: her wild appearance, uncanny mannerisms and raspy, tinny voice put a lot of dragons off. She doesn’t appear to mind and occupies herself with her work. Her role in the community is not unimportant, many clans are happy to have their waste materials taken away. On occasion, when dangerous substances provide a hazard, the clans will even call upon her.

Those that know Machinae better or hang out with her, know that she’s an oddball, but a harmless one. She’s unconcerned with social conventions and is very direct in conversation, but never rude or mean spirited. Her attempts at humor are hit or miss, but one gets the sense that the concept isn’t alien to her. The machines she builds are strange and intricate, no dragon knows what purpose they serve.

Machinae will visit the Outpost when she’s making her rounds, but she never stays long. The black ruins make her nervous and agitated, for some reason she refuses to go near them.
