An energetic skydancer with fidgety feet, Taro grew up running along hallways and leaping off balconies in The Flickering Lantern. Taro, like his parents, is presently is not a clan member, but in everyone’s opinion this is somehow in name only. Only Taro could get away with this. Who’s out at dawn helping Pyrus collect just-opened buds for teas and potions? Who’s taking bread and fresh pastries out of the ovens just in time before they burn? Who’s chatting to a just-arrived traveller waiting for lodging? It’s invariably Taro, managing to get in the way and be indispensable at the same time.

Taro has a passion for life that inspires those around him. He tackles most tasks with enthusiasm, though not always skill. At the moment, he spends time working under various clan dragons or those affiliated with the inn, as Nagira and the Circle attempt to guide his need to be busy into useful pursuits. However, more often than not Taro can be found anywhere other than where he’s supposed to be. Much of the time, this will include looking after playing with hatchlings at the inn, whether his own or not, and helping his mate Keskiyo at her Lightweaver shrine .
