OC dragon

you wander around the lair for a while and come across a large cave within it. you walk inside and see two. . . snappers? at least, one of them is a snapper. they're both in cages, and the front-most one is snarling and foaming at the mouth. the other one. . . doesn't look like a dragon at all. it looks more like an abomination of a monster than anything, with lava dripping from its mouth.
walking around it more, you notice a desk not too far from the cages. there's vials, beakers, and papers scattered on it. it's awfully messy; whoever owns this place must be busy as hell.
one of the snappers roars, shaking the cave immensely. you stumble off your feet, but catch yourself before you could fall.
then, there's footsteps.
fear fills your body. what is this stranger going to think when they see you in their cave without permission?
a silhouette comes into view. when it goes into the light, you can see faint details on this stranger: a splotched body with pink spots, grey and off-white feathers, and goggles around their eyes.
the stranger notices you, approaching slowly with a smile on their face. "welcome." the stranger says, holding his hand out for a handshake.
you take his hand, smiling nervously.
"my name is dominic." the skydancer says, setting his goggles on his forehead. "welcome to my lab, stranger. feel free to look around. the only things that could hurt you are in quarantine. don't worry."

meet dominic, a scientist that studies nearly everything possible. once he finds out about something new, he studies it, whether it'd be a dangerous disease or a new species. he loves to work with potions and anything alchemy related. however, sometimes this stuff fails, which causes him to restart the entire thing over.
dominic has his own lab inside this lair, and inside it holds many different things, such as cages made from pure iron, failed experiments (stretching from amalgamates he created on accident and stuff like that), and tons, and tons, of research papers and potion bottles.
because of all his experiments, sometimes he creates new species without knowing it. he doesn't really care all too much about that, as there's always new species others find out that he didn't make.

he has an adopted sister, named aurora. they may be of two completely different dragon species, but they will always look over each other as if they've always been siblings.

recently, dominic has found himself growing green scales along his body. he's unsure of what is causing this, but they're incredibly itchy and slimy to the touch. whether it's due to accidents that have occurred in his lab, or something more sinister, he will never know.
