A young man alone sitting in a place few can reach- a literal web of shadows. From any area in a about a half mile he can look up, around, see through those pools of blackness, watching people walking by, listening to conversations. He smiles as he hears friendly chatter but he does not interrupt. Crow is a guard and while he is not generally a physical presence he is still very much there. Despite the fact that he’s not very intimidating there’s little that puts a person off guard more than someone popping up out of a shadow next to you out of nowhere. Of course you might think his abilities would make for an excellent spy or assassin and in fact he was- he also hated it. He didn’t have much of a choice about it at the time and was almost relieved that he got sick enough that they let him free of his contract. He wandered to plague, hoping that whatever wasting sickness was slowly killing him could be cured, or at the very least there’d be less of a chance that someone else could catch it from him. But surprise upon surprises just on the border he happened upon a city where someone could cure him. It took some time even for Eights, progressed as his disease was, but alive with scarred lungs is much better than dead. He still wears a mask out of habit from both his old work and for the occasional hacking cough. His old way of life means he still has an aura of paranoia and suspicion, but it mostly comes across as shyness and reluctance. He has a bad habit of following those who leave out of town and keeping an eye on them just in case, though he gets a bit testy if you ever call him out on this. He's a guard, all right? He's doing his job. The fact that he will almost immediately nope out of any sketchy situation means he acts more of a scout but hey he saw it, okay? -He's the only person that still questions the weird stuff that goes on around here -Actually questions pretty much everything, generally by showing up at someone's house out of nowhere and asking about what's on his mind -Shies away from violence unless absolutely necessary, he'll burn out all other options before that -He's kind of interested to see what happens if Adeline ever really got angry -One of the few people March actually listens to, but doesn't realize it because he only nervously asks in an emergency. -He worries and watches. Afraid of what happens if he is lax, afraid of what will happen if he has to act.
