Io dwells on this plane in rumor only. His followers are often blind, though the cause of this is unknown. He is notorious for his erratic behavior, often touted as the Mad God- though to name him 'the' mad god would be unfair to the many others for whom that title applies quite well.

If you raise his ire, you will likely find yourself taken apart in a manner unbecoming on any living creature. Of course, you will still be alive - he is not a creature of mercy.

If you find yourself under Io's onslaught, he will choose two random dragons from your coliseum team and remake their talents. Morrowind will provide six new ability stones to replace the ability stones currently in their possession. These stones may be allocated among the two dragons at the your discretion, but all stones must be used and if possible they must replace any current stones. At this point, you will enter the venue two levels below your at-level venue. You will be subjected to 10 rounds with this handicap.

Upon success, Io will offer you the boon of knowledge. If accepted, you may choose for one or both dragons subjected to Io's change to be given a tincture of dissolution, provided by morrowind. If you accept this boon, the dragon(s) given the tincture will add 5 ascendancy points to their pool.

If the boon is rejected, Morrowind will return a primary battle stone to you (scratch or meditate respectively). The ability stones will not be returned.
