Though the right to heirdom goes to the eldest in many clans, second-born Nimbus is widely regarded as next in line for Thunder Hollow’s preeminent leadership. In general, he is just the sort of firm and focused dragon who makes a wise ruler; where his brother is immature and careless, he is thoughtful and precise. Though his reserved nature tends to hold him at a distance from his clanmates, he possesses the strength and willpower to adapt to leadership when and if it is required of him. In the interim, Nimbus fills his time with research, a beloved hobby. Much like his mother, he has a pointed interest in zoology, and the hours he doesn’t invest in the Council are almost always spent on the Reserve, where he tracks and notates the behavior of the resident wolf population.

Nimbus was hatched during Thunder Hollow’s earliest years, growing up in the chaos that comes with settling such a young clan. Still, as the son of Matriarch Storm, he enjoyed all the love and protection that could possibly be spared. Much of his hatchlinghood was spent assisting in with the establishment of the clan, as his large size and quiet determination made him perfect for helping with construction and other such efforts. When adulthood finally approached, he left on the Search with a heavy heart, and prayed for a fast return to his tiny, struggling home.

Nimbus’ Search took several long years, much to his chagrin. It culminated in something disproportionately small: a single winter wolf discovered in the forests of the Southern Icefield. There was no mistaking the connection, however, and Nimbus quickly dedicated himself to the creature—not just as a guardian but also as a researcher.

He returned to a very different Thunder Hollow, but the friendly faces of his younger days still remained to welcome him back with open wings. It didn’t take him long to catch up with the new normal and establish himself not only as a contributing clanmember but also as the choice heir. His primary efforts since have been to establish a proper pack for his Charge and integrate himself into the Council to prepare him for leading the clan someday.

STORM • mother & mentor
Storm has always been Nimbus' biggest inspiration, and the two of them remain on very amicable terms to this day. They love to discuss zoology with one another whenever they both have time off.

STERLING • father
Though their interests don't particularly align, Nimbus has always looked up to his father. The two are very similar in terms of personality and sense of duty.

PERCY • brother
Nimbus struggles to deal with his brother, who is in many ways his polar opposite. Still, having spent their hatchlinghoods side by side, the two share a strong bond of familial loyalty.

REBECCA • friend, ex-mate, & guardian
When Rebecca discovered Nimbus as her Charge, a quick but determined relationship was formed between the two. However, they were incompatible in the long term and have settled as friends.

FELICITY • adopted daughter
Felicity is one of Nimbus' three adopted daughters, and he loves her dearly. Though fatherhood is a struggle for him, sweet Felicity frequently reassures him that he's doing a fantastic job.

CHARA • adopted daughter
Rough-and-tumble Chara certainly challenges the more reserved Nimbus, but he's made an effort to indulge in her rowdy hobbies all the same.

ASHERIAL • adopted daughter
Quiet Asherial is the most agreeable of Nimbus' bunch, and he connects with her very easily. Their favorite shared activity is visiting the library, though Asherial is also quite interested in studying wolves in the field with him someday.

HVITUR • familiar (black wolf) & charge
Hvitur was the wolf that Nimbus encountered during his Search, and ever since he has been the subject of Nimbus' careful protection and research. He leads a pack in the Reserve.
