Nerius

As the swiftest of the family, hunting prey usually falls to Nerius, and she almost always has underbrush of some sort stuck to her here and there. Met Mordread when he was a bandit, but has since changed his heart for the better and enjoys the protection of the much larger Guardian for raising their little family.

Because she hunts mainly at night, her deep blue wings blend in with the midnight sky, so to ground dwellers looking up she seems as a great long serpent snaking through the air. Because Nerius has remained in these particular Wilds for so long, almost all the wildlife in their territory know of the "Great Green Serpent" whom hunts the night (Although there are also stories of babies and elder critters being spared her teeth, though those are fewer and far between.)

Not very sociable, but has been known to hunt and leave kills out for the others to discover if she has smelt them in her territory. Better to be kind and send them on their way with an easy meal than spen energy on a confrontation, though Mordread rarely catches wind of such things. On the off chance conversation with strangers is required, Nerius is brief and to the point but never rude or disrespectful.

When they came upon Slick, Nerius was unsure as to Mordread's thoughts, but was pleasantly surprised when he asked the sullen Pearlcatcher to join them in their fledging clan, hoping to give the poor drake some meaning in his life. When the girls came along Nerius welcomed the added pair of claws with teaching, and returned the favor when Slick found some younglings of his own to care for.
