Bethan left the Icewarden's demesnes in search of love. She met a glittering Skydancer who flattered her and treated her as something special, a heady feeling! She was quite willing to join him at his home on the Windswept Plateau, and set up a lair together. But when she produced only 2 eggs for their first nest, Caide's attitude changed. She'd noted his disappointment and a marked cooling of his affections after that, and by the time her firstborns cracked their shells, she was depressed indeed. He didn't care about HER, only the offspring she could give him. That was not good enough! She'd seen this between other dragons, but never thought it would happen to her! She knew she had to get out of there, as quickly as possible. Even though she had wanted to name her babies first, she left them behind, before their father talked her into staying for more. However, in her short time there, she had come to love the Windsinger's lands, so open and warm, and didn't want to leave the region. Eventually she came to WindSky Weyr, where she would accept love if it came, without seeking it so desperately as to make the same mistake twice!
