Sera the Heart of The Forge Sera, along with her mate Faust, are some of the best blacksmiths of their time. Their tempered steel is made with a craftsmanship unrivaled by many clans, the attention to intricate detail hard to miss. What is perhaps more surprising, is the heritage behind them. Born with magenta arcane eyes, sera never adapted to the magic heavy lifestyle of her first clan. Having no ties to them, she left at a young age to pursue her dream of crafting weapons and armor, among other trinkets. She settled in a fire clan, who taught her the way of the forge. Quickly, Sera learned how to use her arcane magics to mimic the intense heat of forge. The magic burned hot enough to melt steel and allow her to reform it at her will, with a level of control that most forges did not offer their masters. Her skill earned her a reputation, and dragons from all over Sornieth would come to obtain custom designs from her. Earning not only gold, but fame, it wasn't long before suitors and rival smiths came to find her. Turning them all down was easy, her heart belonged to the forge and none other. On top of that, there were no dragons that impressed her with their mediocre skill and traditional ways of thinking. They lacked the spark that she contained with her own chest, leaving their work dull and ordinary. After awhile, those that knew her would joke that though her magic burned with the force of a thousand suns; her heart was as cold as the southern Icefields. When a dragon that could have been her of her own kin came to the clan she resided in, her stone-cold resolve wavered. A fellow arcane dragon named Faust, he had a unique ability that also rivaled her own. Though he was no forge master, he was able to amplify her own magic, and therefore increase the quality and detail of her work. Aside from his usefullness as a partner, he grew on Sera and it wasn't long before the two were mated officially. Following their union, they left the fire clan Sera had dedicated much of her life to, despite their pleads to stay. A fresh start was in order for the two young dragons, and they found that fresh start on an island in the sea. The Cimmeron welcomed them with open arms, having no smith of their own but a need for the type of goods she produced. They settled in quickly, and established their reputation once again. Dragons from all over still visit Sera, hoping to buy a piece of her work for their own. The Cimmeron is careful not to allow any foul visitors gain an audience with her, and her mate Faust is highly protective of both her and her work. |
