Biography

Being a thief isn't easy. Its not for the weak of mind. It is an art meant only for the bravest of souls, and this one's been brave since she hatched.
Mercury the Shadow; Silent Child; the Professional Thief ....................................................................... Silence. That was all she'd ever held dear. Voices meant trouble. Voices meant capture. Voices meant failure. She knew she could not fail. Silence was her friend, her ally, and her only solace in her life. In silence, she'd earned her way into her many homes. Through the shadows she'd fly, her prizes in tow. Silence meant she'd keep them. Silence meant she'd live to see the dawn. Silence meant she'd won. In silence, she'd made her little baubles out of her prizes, selling them for a pretty penny or two. In silence, she'd decide which objects to keep and which prizes to sell. She would wait for the night, and with it, the silence. She would find her prize, and she would find her foe. She would embrace the silence, and she would take the prize for her own. She would flee before her foe saw her plight. She would wait in the shadows for the morning light, hopefully far from the enemy she had once faced. She thought this would last forever, this silence and night. Then she'd met her. Another Fae, whose intentions were one and the same. Her approach, however, was not. She had the colors of the night, blessed with the tones of the shadows. She would've envied her fellow Fae if it weren't for her approach. She was loud. She was spirited. She was silly, and it seemed serious was never a part of her vocabulary. She stole in broad daylight, taking the most ridiculous prizes ever known, only to waste them on silly pranks. She hated her waste of talent. She hated her approach to her work. She hated the fact that she'd claimed it was only a hobby. She hated her boisterous personality. What she hated most, however, was not about the Prankster. No, what she hated the most was that, no matter how hard she tried, she could never stay mad at her. No, what she hated the most was the warm feeling in her chest every time she saw that little creature succeed in one of her plots. What she hated the most...was that she, the Thief, loved the little Prankster, and nothing, it seemed, would stop her from attempting to obtain this final prize.
