An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.

The story behind these two is that they came separately to the Fortress of Ends, having heard rumors of the magical commune open to all that practices there. Fairyfloss because she has a pronounced and strong magical ability, Alveric because he is curious and wants to see if he can learn.

The lair being what it is, full of friendly and amiable dragons who love just everyone and are complete busybodies when it comes to playing matchmaker (Pixie in particular is *relentless* in her pursuit) noticed at once their rare looks and how beautiful they were and would look together, so began to throw them at each other in practice and social events.

It wasn't even hard, they were like magnets to one another. Everyone loves the new pair, and no one even minds that poor Alveric seems to show absolutely no innate magical ability at all. He's so sweet and devoted to helping Fairyfloss with her studies (and the commune in general is welcoming and open to all anyway) that he's found his place.

But the rumor is that whenever they do clutch, if the hatchlings inherit Fairyfloss's wings that they will also inherit her magical ability, so everyone is excited to see if that ever will occur.
