Seeking to loot a battlefield, Camellia was mortally wounded after a skirmish between certain Horde members and a rival dragon clan. By luck, Loquaesa was of a like mind when it came to looting, and Alcyonae was only too happy to take a party in search of booty. What they found was a gravely injured Pearlcatcher dressed in mercenary garb; if Vruthold had not been with them, Camellia would have been one more lootable corpse.

As things turned out, Vruthold insisted on bringing the Pearlcatcher back to the Hull, not that Camellia seemed very grateful upon waking. Things started to go missing, until Beltris had a little talk with their sticky-fingered guest. After recovering to the best of Vruthold's vast ability, Camellia was greatly dismayed to find the use of her right hind leg greatly limited.

However, upon recovery, Camellia petitioned to stay in the Hull. Beltris, uncommonly, vouched for her, and Loquaesa accepted on the condition that Camellia obey Alcyonae's orders regarding the distribution of the Hull's hoard.
