Skylight's home was destroyed as a hatchling, forcing her to live elsewhere. She had a hard time adapting to her new surroundings and to the new dragons she met. Through up until adulthood she spent much of her time hunting for insects and took her spare time while watching the larger dragon species and noting their weaknesses if they were ever needed.
Once she became an adult, she took a job from an old messenger to help him deliver letters to different clans and did earn a small income. Once she had saved up enough, she bought herself a bow and quiver and began to practise with the bow, eventually learning that she could go for the weaknesses she had picked up on over the years.
She soon gave herself the job as an assassin for hire and took many high-paying jobs for dragons that had plenty of money to pay her. Though eventually, her reputation as an assassin caught up to her and she was recruited by Queen Erzulie, claiming her place as one of her personal assassins. She has remained a part of this kingdom ever since.
