Though he was born of Light, the Sunbeam Ruins was no place for Glitch. Where his clanmates were content to live peaceful days in the sun, unearthing relics and studying ruins, Glitch longed to look towards the future. He wanted to mold it to his will, to shape the relics that would become tokens of history. Knowledge for knowledge's sake wasn't enough for him, and his days were dull until he found his curio.

That was what the dragon pawning it to him called it, a 'curio' - excavated from deep within the Hewn City, in a dark corner that few had visited and lived to talk about. It radiated an otherworldly energy that Glitch had never seen before, and he became obsessed with studying it. He spent his days in contact with Lightning clan scientists and Arcane clan mystics, none of whom could determine the nature of the object; and in the meantime, he secretly hoarded his clan's funds, using the gold to hire dragons to delve the Hewn City for him, in search of other objects with the same energy pattern.

Continued exposure to the curio proved harmful in the long run. Glitch began to develop a strange growth, inky-black and spotted with glowing teal light. As it spread, infecting his lungs and becoming harder and harder to hide, his clan learned of his secret embezzlement. They banished him from the Sunbeam Ruins, and Glitch gladly left, perfectly content to abandon the home that had never felt like home, and taking his precious curio with him.

Azathoth is a brash dragon who has never known a stranger. He always speaks his mind and is completely oblivious to when he makes others uncomfortable.

His voice is low and guttural, and he tends to ramble on rather slowly. This combined with his habit of thinking out loud can make him a very frustrating conversation partner. Impatient or shy dragons have a hard time getting a word in edgewise, or exiting a conversation with him.

He's very self-centric; when a conversation steers away from his interests for too long, he usually interjects with something more relevant to him. He doesn't realize he's being selfish... he's honestly never thought of it that way.

It's difficult to pinpoint the exact nature of Glitch's feelings towards Thoth. Surely he views Thoth as a nuisance, an impediment to the highly-functioning clan that Glitch dreams of - but there have been a fair number of 'accidents' in the Stormwarden clan, and Thoth has never been a victim of such a tragedy. The two are almost never seen speaking publicly, always retiring to Thoth's private chamber when something needs to be discussed. Is it fear or respect that keeps Glitch pursuing his agenda from the shadows?

TESLA | ♥♥♥♥♥ | Colleague
Some might find it odd that the apparent lead researcher of the Stormwarden's R&D wing was appointed by Thoth, not Glitch, but the wisest dragons quickly learn not to question such things. Glitch's relationship with Tesla seems pleasant enough, and Glitch is careful to ensure that the Wildclaw has a steady stream of supplies and interns to keep him occupied in his laboratory.

Amaria was Glitch's first (semi-)permanent companion in the Stormwarden clan. She was one of many dragons Glitch hired to help make their lair profitable again; her keen mathematical skills made her a valuable accountant to the clan, and her razor-sharp ambition proved attractive to Glitch... for a time. When she eventually vanished from the clan, no one knew where to look, and Glitch's lack of concern meant that the clan eventually gave up the search.

FATE | ♥͍͉̞̬̂̎̊̾̐̒̐̕♥̷̯̝͔̣̫̻͂͌ͥ♥̵̙̪͚̭͋͞♥̽̽ͮ̽̂͗͒҉̸̻̫̣͝♥̘͕̔̑͆̄ | Ex-Mate
Fate was Glitch's second mate - a partnership forged out of mutual benefit, not affection. He gave her the status she so craved in exchange for information on the Stormbane, Thoth's precious wards with an affinity for the arts and the occult. With Fate's help, Glitch was able to subvert the influence of the older dragons in the Stormbane, eventually leading to the formation of Glitch's Sparkrise... but if she was so useful, then why did Fate, too, disappear from the clan?
