Muirgen

From a young age Muirgen had always been good at two things. One, tinkering, and two, magic. A strange combination according to others, but to her the two things were not complete without the other. She was constantly making and fiddling with magical machines as a hatchling and the following years. She became secluded at times, but was still well liked due to her calm temperament, level-headedness, and over all pleasant personality. Though she never did take well to criticism, letting even absentminded comment with shallow meaning get at her, making her strive to improve herself, and even more so, improve her machines. She wanted them to perfect. She needed to show the others she could be better than the "flaws" they unknowingly pointed out. This drove her to take risks. The others started to grow worried. She became more reclusive. More obsessed. And then one day it all boiled over. Due to the risks she had been taking, one of her machines overheated, exploding, triggering the many volatile machines in the shop as well. Her den was left a smoldering wreck, and the explosion injured some others, as well as Muirgen herself. A magic-imbued liquid had splattered across her, scalding her and leaving the fae with bright blue splatter marks across her wings, face, and torso. She was kicked out of her clan for her careless mistake that had endangered so many others. She gathered her few salvageable trinkets and machine and left. Then she came across Kaifan. She showed him some of her machines she had made during her travels and exile. One of which, the one she is most proud of to this day, being a machine that was inspired by water dragons, one that could predict possible futures and their likelihood. Impressed, Kaifan convinced the clan leaders to let her stay as his assistant. She now works with him and Torin in their lab. She still has trouble with criticism, but no longer takes risks, careful not to repeat her mistakes, and fearful of what may happen if such events may come to pass once more.
