GMY3WwO.png As the clan's Herald- the one in charge of exalting endevours and everything that comes with the work of sending dragons to work under your flight's leader, Redacted is a mean and borderline brutal dragon. Usually known for being as unpleasant as he is stressed with making a good impression with his lair's exalting scene, he has been exceptionally livid since the incident with Ashe, a dragon that was set to be exalted in his clan but of which escaped right under his snout in the dead of night the night before. He is a well feared and almost seemingly mysterious dragon in the clan, and is obviously well known for punishments if dragons step out of line in lair.

Ashe looked out past the boundaries of his lair. His pearl wrapped close to his body, with whatever scraps of fabric he could use to hold it as close to him as possible.

In his front claws, he held the letter. A message from his flight’s Herald- the dragon that was in charge of exalting messages and sending off dragons to be. He knew he didn't want that life- sure, was it a high honor to go serve your flight leader? Of course. But he wanted more for his life. So, the night before he was set to come and be hauled off, he began his plan. Fashioning a ragdoll out of scraps and things in their lair he finished up a doll close in his size and looks, painted with the foods they had in storage to slightly resemble him more. He had covered it in his blanket, and now found himself staring off into the world past their Driftwood Drag home.

He pulled the cloak over himself- the one that had strangely appeared on April Fool’s, that made whatever was under it turn clear as the air around them. He pulled it over his face and looked into a short puddle near him- seeing that he was significantly covered, he nodded and climbed over the rickety stone wall that separated them from other factions and lairs.

He looked back at his old home one last time, sighing a final goodbye, before taking off into the dead of night.


When the collectors came to pick up Ashe to go serve his god the dawn after, they found the bag of treasure, which was of course of standard. What they weren’t expecting to find, was a mock copy of him. The lair’s Herald, Redacted, looked at the ragdoll with disdain, but also a sense of respect. It wasn’t an easy feat to get past him and to flee the lair- nor to fake your own exalt. Upon being asked by the lair guards what action they should take against the deserter, he decapitated the doll with one swift kick of a back leg.

“Let him run. We’ve got his treasure, and we do not need any else from him. It was his own path to forge, no matter if he was to go serve the Shadowbinder- or to run like a coward. Waste of our time, now.”

Turning on heel, Redacted walked to the exit of Ashe’s room, leaving the two guards bewildered and dazed, but they followed his leave and stepping over the mock doll of a particularly skilled con artist, they left aswell.
