Kynaesandi is easygoing, gentle, and understanding. He loves to spend time with hatchlings and takes great care in watching over them as his primary role. He is deeply loving and cares for every egg as if it were his own.

He is in charge of every egg and hatchling that enters the city, whether born or brought. He indoctrinates them all into the structured lifestyle and makes sure they are given a fair role that suits their abilities. While he does not assign jobs, he has a great impact on where a young dragon will end up. Many dragons have him to thank for their roles that they actually enjoy. Loved by many as a father figure, Kynaesandi has a huge presence with the working class of Cinder.

Despite his seemingly normal and boring existence, he has a double-life. His mate is none other than the leader of the rebel dragons, Genevieve. He visits her as often as he can, and the two of them have many hatchlings together that roam free outside the confines of the city walls. While he does worry for their safety, he has influence on Council decisions, and often tries to persuade them to search in the opposite direction of where the rebels actually are. This has worked so far.
