- wealthy merchant family, on both sides
- like really wealthy. grandmother was a water noble who graciously handed over her treasures to a light-run bank, to save them the trouble of taking it, so she was allowed to become a light courtier & keep her titles/land. other grandmother is a clan leader (and from a deepset labyrinthian ship-lumber family)

- her own titles are tied to her father, her being his eldest surviving child and thus inheriting after he died during the great furnace's eruption
- mother was wed to three other ice nobles before her father & would wed a labyrinthian lord after his death


- kind of ugly, and has some really bad esteem issues, with the combo 'being mocked for her looks while simeltaneously expected to hide it in portraits and makeup so her suitors could politely ignore it while trying to get at her wealth'





all of the annex lords flooding into the hewn city, with all their worldly treasures sewn into their clothes, did unspeakable things to the economy

dragons paid for bread with rings and their rent with necklaces. even the lowliest fishwife took to the streets bedecked in gems, as if they were in the starfall isles and could pluck the gilt from the gravel.

treasure held its worth.

the lightweaver's mint was the purest in sorneith, not debased with low metals like the annex's or the isles, and not so chipped at the edges to be near worthless, like the old Sea-coins that only dishonest men would take.


she took a card from her grandmother, and offered command of her gold to the lightweaver. a generous wartime loan,


and what did she want in return? the reclamations left fine manses within the city limits open, or she could even have a manor, out in the rolling acres of the great suncedar forest, or beyond that, she could lay claim to one of the tracts of the tangled wood that now belonged to the lightweaver.

none of that - put her among the plaguelings.



- enjoys fencing
- was trained in combat for the sake of self defense
- seen as very weird to the water culture standards she was raised to


- joined virulent after the end of lailuma's debutante season
- switches between an apartment in the bellamare manor in the summer to a room in the light for manse in the winter
- the caverns freak her out. went once for a riot of rot and that was enough of that



- okay so what's the deal with her crush on karstavalierius
a) he's pretty, well groomed, and passionately devoted to his hobbies and family. also has that bad boy appeal whilst simultaneously being zero actual threat or risk to her
b) there is NO CHANCE of them ever actually getting together so he's just a safe target for her to project concepts onto
c) the point is that she doesn't want to actually be with him. if he proposes the answer is no. they rarely interact with each other and she gets immensely uncomfortable when they get thrust to interact with each other
