Erysichthon

Erysichthon panted heavily and flexed his claws, feeling the warm blood squelch between them. He stared at his unmoving brother laying dead before him. It had been a quick affair, one could say Erysichthon didn't realize what he was doing. That had been happening a lot these days. Erysichthon would black out and wake up hours, sometimes days later with no recollection of what he had been doing, and where he was. The prince brushed it off as insomnia, he never slept due to his fear of something like this happening. Too late now. Erysichthon wanted to feel some kind or remorse for this unfortunate event, but he couldn't. Vagar had it coming. Sure, he was the kind older brother who everyone in the lair adored, but what about Erysichthon? He had things to offer too, maybe mother and father would love him more as a single child... But, what to do with the body? The royal Imperial glanced around at his surroundings. He was in a bright forest with leaves giggling in the trees and a nearby river grumbling lazily. Erysichthon snatched his brother's wing in his jaws and dragged him over to the edge, depositing the Imperial in the fast moving current. Erysichthon waited until the bright orange body disappeared into the rapids and the blood stained current ran clear once again. Nobody would ever know. Erysichthon was now the only prince, thus the favorite.
