 The recent turmoil of the fued between the Gladekeeper and the Plaugebringer had sent Liagre further into their tangled territory. The unusual level of activity from the Windsinger was causing strange anomalies to pop up everywhere, and one such windstorm accosted Ligare's home for days. At the end of it, Archizoun, Keirn, and Callahan went to survey the damage that was done. The trees were a mess, and the careful decor Raerek and Sohal had set up was in shambles. At the center of it, curled at what seemed to be the epicenter of the late storm, was a Spiral hatchling. Archizoun assigned Golem to look after her and try to puzzle out where she came from and what her connection to the strange windstorm was.

 The hatchling, the clan soon discovered, was as energetic and tumultuous as the Windsinger himself. She didn't talk much and seemed to prefer using a Fae-like approach to language and signaling as much with her ears as with her hands. Golem was soon acting as her interpreter as the rest of clan began to learn the hatchling's way of communicating. Her name had been something of a conversation since her discovery. The hatchling didn't seem to have any interest in answering to any of the names they'd tried. Though she came to Ligare with no name, she seemed to be very particular about what her name shouldn't be. Eventually, while she was out gathering with Golem one morning she encountered a sight that she found fit for her name. A rare beam of direct sunlight had pierced through the thick canopy of the Shrieking Wilds and was shining squarely on an upturned, smooth grey rock. The Spiral danced through the air with excitement as she signed to her caretaker how that was her name. It took some trial and error, and no small amount of testing adjectives, but Golem soon understood the name the hatchling was trying to tell her. Brightstone. A celebration was held that night in the Home Tree as the clan congratulated the little Spiral on her name. The gifts that were traditionally given on birthdays were crafted and presented during the following week as the clan fully welcomed Brightstone.
