Nightmints mother was of the lightning flight while his father was of the water flight. He had two half sisters on his mothers side one a bogsneak and one a pearlcatcher. On his fathers side he had two mirrors, 10 tundras, and 6 pearlcatcher half siblings. As soon as he had regurgitated his eggshell into his pearl he was kicked out of the layer to find his own in the world. You could sometimes ask to stay in the lair but being the only dragon of minty and okraith his half siblings took up all the attention and he knew he would have no chance. Three days after his birth he knew he would have to find a new clan. He was out by the ocean collecting cool seashells and rocks hoping to sell them to make treasure when he saw two dragons swimming toward them. When he noticed one was a mirror he slowly began to back away as he knew of there notoriously nasty tempers. As they came with in a flights distance he dropped everything and began frantically flying away when he heard the female yell “Please,stop!” The please was really what made him stop. He slowly began to land but kept a firm grip on his pearl and instead of inching slowly towards them he began inching slowly away from them. The female then said “I notice your on your own. We have plenty of space in our lair and we could use the help” Nightmint eyed the mirror warily but nodded and he meekly followed the two home. They were pretty kind and soon they struck up a conversation. The female was named Tulip and the male was Volcano her mate. They told him they had three eggs on the way and with his help they could hunt, and get out with his help he could defend the layer. His parents wouldn’t approve “fraternizing with lower dragons”. His parents believed that if the dragon wasn’t a pearlcatcher it was lower and therefore unworthy of being talked to. He had been out gathering pale pink roses for that was tulips favorite flower ironically when Volcano flew in frantically and yelled “ Tulip is gravely wounded!” He then hurriedly flew out of the lair. Nightmint quickly realized they would need a Stretcher to carry her. He then grabbed his blanket and flew super fast after Volcano. When he reached her he hurriedly healed a corner with the little bit of magic he knew. Then he lifted Tulip up on the stretcher and flew to the lair.
