BIOGRAPHY-
~
His home was in turmoil. Papers and records askew, and ancient records went missing. Samandriel had been tasked with guarding the 'library' of the angels(the true pronunciation is too difficult for mortals to attempt). While he was busily working overtime to keep in line, his colleagues, as he discovered, were forming a rebellion.

After the great warrior, Belavariel, was banished, every angel who heard began to question their authorities. Posts were being abandoned, their trust was broken. Sam didn't want to be in the middle of the scuffle, but he happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was curious that's all. For all of his life he'd been on the sidelines, taking records and doing the behind-the-scenes work. It was what Sam was made for, so he sought no change in his schedule. But this all changed as he wandered into the center square of his home.

His overseers stood over the rest, preaching to their subjects how forgiveness would be situated if they'd just disperse. Though his people did not, they continued to voice their concerns. They wanted to know why their best fighter was sent to the mortal world, for something as honorable as mercy. As he heard this, Sam pondered if his superiors had lost their minds.

Soon the higher celestials had had enough; they called everyone who wished for change to the center of the square. Sam happened to be there, in the middle of all of it. To be truthful he wanted change as well, but he didn't have the full story, or the knowledge of what would happen next.

With the power blessed upon them, his superiors banished the lot of them. Twenty-three angelic beings, all varying in type and purpose, were cast out. In one fell swoop, the great ones uprooted the rebellion. Falling out of his home felt like being pulled through a tube, it felt fine, until the fire. Flames scorched his delicate and beautiful angelic body, tearing the grace from his soul. His wings screamed, everything seemed to be incinerating itself. Then, like a candle on a windowsill, the fire was snuffed out, replaced only by silence.

Sam now felt very cramped, and contained, but he couldn't see, either. So he waited. Time yielded no aid, he still felt like he was encased in tight binding, a butterfly in a cocoon. Growing frustrated, Sam thrashed whatever physical form he possessed, and heard a small crack, then a hum. It was better than nothing, so Sam tried again. Another crack. A soft whirring in his ear. With one final push, the walls that kept him in snapped...and exploded.

The light was blinding. Such giant, horrible, blinding white light. There was white all over, and so much cold. HIs eyes held tightly closed for a few seconds, until he realized where he was. His new, wobbly mortal legs crawled out of their shell, and into the frigid wind. The blinding white was everywhere, it blew into his eyes, and rattled his bones. The great frozen expanse laid out before him, no civilization in sight.

He began to walk, still cold and shaking. He imagined the mortal world to be dirty and imperfect, but not this damn cold. Shivering, he reached the edge of a cliff. An even greater expanse of icy waters crashed below him. White foam pummeled the edge of the iceberg, icy wind buffeted his face. The the heard the roar.

Whipping around, Sam was faced with three furry beings. All brandishing long, sharp, white teeth. Sam whimpered, realizing his apparent weakness. One creature huffed and stepped forward, ice coated his fur. It growled to Sam, he squeaked in response. The furry beast cocked his head in confusion. Sam felt so very small when it walked even closer, towering over him. Thinking this the end, Sam curled into a ball.

He could feel the breath of the creature on his neck, it felt so warm. Three big sniffs, then a huff of laughter. Sam looked up again, the beast's mouth was curled upward, its mouth was moving and noise was emitting from it. Samandriel was beyond bewildered. But he still could do one thing. MImick. Whatever the beast said, Sam barked back. The beast threw it's head, probably offended. Sam had read and documented every parchment and piece of information the angels had, but nothing on these brutes. Frustrated, Sam did his best to growl. But the beast had already picked him off the ground, and tucked him under his wing. It was warm, so Sam didn't fight it.
~
A month later Sam had somewhat learned the creature's language, and learned how to survive. He had grown into is body quite nicely, but any grace he had as an angel, only specks of it had remained. Sam learned about his species, and the basic history of this world. Sornieth, as it was called, was divided into separate flights, so finding his fallen brothers and sisters would be very difficult. Though he still wanted to find Belavariel, and find out if he could go back home or not.

So he set out on a long journey to find her, but as he went on, it seemed his efforts were in vain. No dragon wanted his services. Something about common courtesy and social cues was just so hard to master. Even as a mimicking nocturne, he struggled to pick apart what anything meant. If only it was written in his home language, the angelic, so he could understand.

He had heard about a school in the light flight that studied ancient languages, and might be able to help him. The long journey there was perilous, but he made it out of spite. Tired and exhausted, he reached the school. The scholars there did not buy his story, to his frustration. Though they were still amazed by the fact he could speak fluid angelic. Even though the scholars had learned the language, they had no hope to truly decipher it. Alas, Samandriel set out again, still barely hanging onto the hope that Belavariel was out there somewhere.

He was about to totally skip the Viridian Labyrinth, since no angel would like it there, if it weren't for him overhearing a conversation at a pub. The conversation was about a clan called Verdant, who had recently fallen on tough times, but battled through anyways. Many clans and creatures desired their land, but none had been truly successful. Sam froze when they mentioned her name. Belavariel. She was there. Stifling his relief, Sam listened more. This clan had many ranked fighters, but Bela was a different breed, nothing of this land. So she still has her grace, he thought. This was amazing! He kindly asked the dragon speaking for the location for Clan Verdant, he only laughed at Sam.

These dragons knew it was in the North Gladeveins, but it was useless to try to travel there if you didn't live there yourself. Grumpy with new challenges, Sam set out one more time.

At first, he wondered if the dragons in the pub had lied; there was nothing he could find. Though a kind Wildclaw with blue eyes, and dark, musty apparel helped him. This dragon was Thoran, a member of Verdant. Samandriel could not believe his fortune, he had found her! The dragon led him to his home, where he first set eyes on Belavariel. She had his colors, and he burst out in angelic the moment she said hello. Bela was overjoyed to have a brother to talk to, but grief stricken when she found out her home was in turmoil. She vowed to search for her fallen brothers, for they had believed in her story, and were punished for it.

Sam became a scholar with a arcane ambassador called Starfire, and an imperial named Draco. He may be the butt of many of their jokes, but his quick mind will catchup to them eventually.
