B I O G R A P H Y

Yin is energetic, and spends much of his free time causing mischief and hassling other dragons his age. He is intelligent and good at coming up with intricate plans on the fly, however his short attention span often causes him to lose interest halfway in and he rarely sees his ideas through to completion. He enjoys traveling with his friends and family, and he is always open for trying new things.

Yin is the clan's assistant blacksmith, and he is currently still in training. He often rushes to finish his work, resulting in warped metal and unbalanced blades that his mentor, Ignis, then forces him to redo. When not fighting with Ignis over his work in the forge, Yin is out scavenging for materials to use for his craft. He often travels much further than he is supposed to, and he occasionally tags along with Sidereal on her several-day trips without telling Ignis where he is going. This has gotten him into trouble on more than one occasion.

▸ Dianthus: Yin's adoptive father. Dianthus is a doting parent, and raised Yin alongside Radiance as if Yin were his own. While a good parent and openly affectionate to Yin, Yin has always felt somewhat out of place in the family due to the vague memories he has of his biological parents.

▸ Radiance: Yin's best friend and adoptive brother. Radiance is gentle and cautious, often acting as the voice of reason in their friendship. Radi and Yin typically bounce ideas off of one another before putting them into action, and spend much of their freetime together.

▸ Carter: Yin's mate. The two have much in common, including their high energy and a fondness for exploring and learning new things. They often tag along with one another's friend groups and get into trouble together.

▸ Perihelion: Carter and Yin's adopted son. Carter found the newly hatched aether on the clan's border while delivering mail, shortly after the return of the ancient breed to Sornieth. Perihelion is energetic like his fathers, but lacks Yin's mischief and has a much better attention span than either of them.

▸ Sidereal: Yin's adoptive younger sister. He and Sidereal are both chaotic and high in energy, and they often talk one another into stupid dares which they both find themselves regretting later. The two are partners in crime who enjoy spreading mischief.

▸ Menthe: Yin enjoys hassling Menthe, and often tries to involve himself in the pearlcatcher's hobbies despite not knowing much about art. While Yin can be nosy and loud, Menthe doesn't seem to mind his company and has even started to tag along with Yin on his daily scavenging.

▸ Ignis: Yin's mentor. Ignis is stern and often yells at him for being inattentive with his work, and he has made a bad habit of getting on the snapper's nerves on a regular basis. While they are often at each other's throats over Yin's poor workmanship, Yin respects her and knows that her irritation with him is earned.

▸ Phoebus: As one of the clan's official hatchling caretakers, Phoebus was the initial caretaker for young Yin before Dianthus adopted him. Yin still goes to Phoebus for emotional support on occasion, as he still has doubts about his place in his adoptive family and he doesn't feel comfortable discussing his concerns with his father or siblings.

▸ Neptune: Yin's grandson.

▸ Apparel: Yin likes armor and colorful clothing. He is also fond of amphibian-themed attire.

▸ Food: Yin prefers to eat plants and insects. He is especially fond of eating honey bees, much to Lobelia's dismay.

▸ Colors: Yin enjoys bold and neon colors. He loves any shade of green, and he likes black as an accent to brighter colors.

▸ Pastimes: When not in the forge with Ignis, Yin enjoys exploring and finding items to add to his personal hoard. He also enjoys swimming and flying, although he isn't especially good at swimming.

▸Season: He loves the spring and fall, due to their unpredictable weather. His least favorite season is winter.

▸Beasts: Yin loves all amphibians, especially frogs. He hoards items that depict them.
