Souta doesn’t spend much time with the Clan. Rather, he waits at the marketplace with Breneigan, working as an ambassador to all dragons hatched of Wind who come by. Energetic as he is, he’s the perfect dragon to introduce those of similar origins of his own to the Clan. While Breneigan harks his wares for the hoard, Souta sits on a stool to the side, flapping his feather-adorned wings to create drafts with which he attracts his fellows to the stall. In a place with air so still as the Hewn City, a Windhatched would recognise the gales drafted by his powerful wings in an instant.

Souta’s parents hatched of Shadow and Plague respectively, making their youngest son’s fierce devotion to the Windsinger a bit confusing to most. To those who have heard his parents’ stories, however.. They say that while his mother was away from the nest to hunt, he and his sister’s eggs fell out into the gorge below. Petali at first dismissed the whistling of their descent, thinking it only the wind. After all, they were in the Zephyr Steppes, where the wind never stopped blowing. She noticed after a bit, however, diving down as fast as she could manage with her wings tucked tight against her body. Even so, she feared she would be too late. Moments before her clutch smashed against the ground, however, a powerful gale roared into existence, thrusting both of the eggs into her outstretched arms. While returning to the nest, Petali swore she could see the Windsinger’s great form twisting above. Souta has been a loyal follower of Wind to this day.
