Marcxeta

After learning that their parents weren't going to be emotionally available most of the time, Marcxeta and their sister Kukurbflorajxa began spending more time with shy Lucxjo, both eventually having a clutch with him. The three were inseparable until Lucxjo decided it was time for him to go directly plead with the Gladekeeper on his parents' behalf, and left. Kukurbflorajxa, overcome with sorrow, left to find a future elsewhere, but Marcxeta stayed to provide their children with the support they'd not had as a hatchling.

Marcxeta spent most of their free hours wandering the borders of the clan of Domatja, eyes both searching warily for the evil leader or syr underlings and hungering after any brief glimpse of their daughter Likena. Once they even took their grandchild Espera along. The time after that, though, they witnessed something so horrific and so personally guilt-inducing that they stopped the visits, and burned their disguise that night. Espera noticed the fresh scratches on their grandmother's legs, but didn't pry.

Now they spend their time either snuggling Espera and Algoritma, or flying alone over the cliffs that witnessed the deaths of Marajxa's first family so long ago. Some say they have been building another hive on the side of the rock face, although for whom, no one knows but Marcxeta themself. Some also say that a pile of bones grows by the seashore...

The eleven are complete now. Marcxeta is the last, the keystone to this project a year in the making. They pick up a white lily gently in their mouth, representing the youth they feel was ripped from their daughter Likena, and set off again for the sea, trailed by Marajxa and Espera.
Along the way, they stop at what is indeed a new hive. The necropolis is filled with the bones of Marajxa's family, and also with small, personal touches pulled up from the sea with their owners. All three of the living bow their heads in respect, and leave gifts. As they leave, they pass through an empty chamber next to that of Marajxa's mother. Marcxeta will not return without their daughter.
