Khan

As the current clan in control of the Heart, Clan Guardwings is a force to be reckoned with. Indeed, a clan of Guardians is already more than enough, but when every single Guardian in the clan just so happens to see the Heart as their Charge, well, you'd have better luck stealing a telescope from the Arcanist (he probably wouldn't even notice). Of course, with such a formidable clan, it's only logical that it's led by an equally formidable leader. Said leader must be capable of wrestling the other Guardians into submission, have enough authority to force the Guardians into line, and be strong enough to ward off the other clans vying for the Heart. Luckily for Clan Guardwings, Khan is a clan leader with all of three necessary traits, and also capable of kicking the rear ends of anyone who dares cross him. That is, assuming you're insane enough to attack the leader of a group of Guardians who aren't known for being kind and merciful. Most dragons should know to stay away, but some are really that stupid.

Khan is gruff and distant, which are traits necessary for a leader when it comes to a clan of Guardians - who, if left to themselves, would spend half their time arguing over who was better fit to guard the Charge, and the other half arguing over who has a more glorious beard. Khan maintains a cold demeanor when addressing the members of his clan, and a even colder attitude when faced with members of the other clans. He rarely looses his cool in front of others - in fact, it's a mystery as to whether or not he's capable of being anything other than unfriendly and insensitive. Some might wonder why his clan chooses to follow him, but there's something about Khan's icy precision, strict adherence to protocol, and withering disdain for stupidity that's quite charming.

With his calculating mind and incredible penchant for strategies, augmented by a complete lack of regard for mushy stuff like feelings, it's no wonder that Clan Guardwing has managed to stay in control for so long. Khan's many tactics and traps has proven to be effective at keeping the other clans at bay, and with the clan running strict patrols, their defences are near-invincible. Of course, a few clans still attempt to get pass this security system, hoping that Khan would relax his guard long enough for them to slip through the cracks. But Khan never drops his guard, and it's a question as to whether or not he relaxes at all. When he's not running the clan, he's training. When he's not training, he's fighting. When he's not training or fighting, he's usually training and fighting. That, or collecting and polishing weapons. But that's less of a relaxing activity, and more of an excuse to have a sharp, pointy thing to throw at the nearest trouble maker, so it really shouldn't be counted as a hobby.

Despite his unfriendly personality, Khan is capable of being warm and affectionate. But only to his mate, Kahnas, and usually only when no one else is around to see him acting cuddly. He's a leader of a clan, he'd rather not show any weakness at all, thank you very much. Kahnas finds this quite amusing, but she knows better than to try to undermine him, so she leaves him be. After all, Khan keeps the Heart in the control of Clan Guardwings. And the rest of the clan wouldn't want to have it any other way.
