B I O G R A P H Y

______ Opal was appalled. A crazy coatl was preaching that she could kill the offspring of The Shade, and that she wanted a team to help her. Opal didn’t think anyone would be stupid enough to join such an obvious deathtrap, but here she was, witnessing a pearlcatcher and another coatl stepping up to the challenge. They were either going to get themselves killed, or they’d simply never find another shadeling in the first place. Oh well. Not her problem. She had no reason to help them. Just a few less faces around the lair. Not gonna be missed. No way they could -- aaaaaaaaa! Opal couldn’t get them out of her mind. Day in and day out she thought about it, attempting to reason with herself about how stupid the idea was. She was distracted from her work, she lost sleep over it, and couldn’t even enjoy a good game with her friends without thinking about how those three were going to get themselves killed. She continued in her attempts to reason with herself, but when she saw the three leaving for their first mission, she finally broke.

______ ”Aaaaa waitwaitwaitwait!” Opal ran toward the group just as they were leaving the lair. She sighed “alright fine, I’ll join you, but only because I don’t want your deaths on my conscious!” The three stared at her in confusion, “I’m a healer! Get it? Every squad needs a healer, else you’re just asking to die! Now, if you guys are really going through with this horrible, horrible idea, I should at least be around to make sure you all make it back in one piece!”

______ The leader of the group, the coatl who supposedly already killed a shadeling, smiled and held out a claw. “Well, I guess we could use a bit more help with this horrible, horrible plan of mine, so welcome to the team. I think we could use a name, how about The Four Horsemen? Sounds better than The Three Horsemen, at least.” The coatl chuckled, and introduced the rest of the group; The Hunter herself, Shiru, The Tracker, Antares, The Trapper, Phoenix, and finally, The Healer, Opal.
