Akira is the first son of Caliburn and Shikashi of Clan Wicked Wings of The Observatory. Taking more after his mother, he is the most scholarly of his clutch siblings. In particular, he is particularly fascinated with studying curses and how they come about.

After seeing how his mother discovered a new bit about a fellow clan member's curse, Akira wanted to be someone who figured out ways to stop them if he could, or at least study the different beings and ways one could be cursed to hopefully prevent them. So far, his findings have shed light on the fact that a lot of curses result from miscommunication and not understanding customs of another. Collecting as much information as possible will mean others won't suffer the same fates.
