Arsu and her brother Azizos are a special pair of twins, at least that was what everyone told them when they were young. On the surface it’s easy to brush it off as them simply being loved hatchlings, but in truth they were so much more than that; their magic abilities surpassed everyone in their clan even while they were just children. A completely impossible feat for any hatchling, but the two had somehow been blessed with the ability to use not just simply ice for magic, but every single element that existed throughout Sornieth. Their clanmates whispered about them being alike to gods in a child’s form but their parents would have none of it, and were adamant about the twins being treated no different than any other young dragon.
But in truth they always knew that the two were meant for something greater, and that despite their best efforts to let their children live as normal as possible, they would be needed elsewhere. When that time came the two felt as though something was pulling them away from their home on the Southern Icefield, and their parents helped them prepare for their journey far from home full of worry. They were adolescents, ever so young and inexperienced but the world was already asking for them to grow up for destiny’s sake. They promised to stay together no matter what happened to them, but even that proved to be impossible to keep the closer they got to their destination.

A thundershower had started brewing long before they’d arrived, and while they had managed for such a long time together on their flight the rain and winds proved to be too much for them just as they reached the border between the Starfall Isles, and the Scarred Wasteland. The last thing Arsu saw before she blacked out was the blurry image of her brother being ripped away from her in the storm, and when she had awakened she was suddenly somewhere unfamiliar. A stranger was in the room with her at least to explain that Arsu had been found by an arcane clan that called itself The Phoenix Allegiance, with the skydancer looking after her being their leader Ridley, who somehow seemed to recognize her.

She had been receiving a tour of the clan’s territory when a realization hit her, the feeling as though she was being called to from somewhere had disappeared the moment she arrived there, and within moments she learned why. Ridley showed her an ancient prophecy that had been carved into the base of the mountain that spoke of two imperials, that arrived from the land of ice but they held power over every element. They were destined end not only the feud that the clan had with one in the Scarred Wasteland, but possibly even the entire constant war between the deities in Sornieth; it would be an understatement to say that it was a lot to take in at once.

Arsu is still so young and carries a burden of possibly needing to hold the whole world up someday, but at the very least she doesn’t hold onto it alone. Even though she and her brother are in two separate places they still write and meet with each other, he had of course landed in the plague clan the prophecy spoke of and felt that it was his duty to stay. She misses him and she misses home at times, but overall Arsu is fitting into her new home just fine and doing her best to keep her head held high. She will be ready should she finally reach her true potential one day, and fulfill her fate.
