XieZhen
(Je-Aey-Jhen)
Mate to Acacia

A rather odd subspecies of dragonkind, XieZhen was born to a small pride and rased by caring parents with his brother. His family was supportive training him to fight to protect those he cared for, but the young wild cat eventually realized that within his small pride there was little chance of him ever finding a true mate, their pride consisting of mostly cousins and siblings of his. So he made up his mind and set out an a journey to find a mate and a pride all his own.

The nekomata made it a point to avoid wandering over territory owned by dragons, doing his best to avoid conflict with those outside his kind. He quickly decided to leave the Windswept Plateau, wanting to see more of Sornieth before settling down with his future mate. Moving north west he soon reached the edge of the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Before deciding nope and moving more eastward to the Scarred Wasteland. This was a perilous place to travel, especially alone, but XieZhen was a fit dragon with good survival skills, but what made this part of his journey unusually easy was his efforts to avoid meeting dragons, thus avoiding many of the pathogens lurking within the denizens of Plague.

Curiosity brought him eastward then and he soon entered the lands ruled over by Shadow. Dark, surely, but what stood out the most to the eyes of a cat was the glow that filled the forest, large bright blue and purple mushrooms, tiny lizards and snakes with glowing scales, even some rocks had brilliant glowing spots inside.
It wasn't long in this new land before the wild cat finally caught the scent that he had been searching for, he smelled one of his kind. Following the smell excitedly, XieZhen soon found her, barely more than a kitten, but truly beautiful. Before he could approach her though, he froze, staring at the dragon approaching her, stunned at hearing her begin to purr as the outsider spoke.

XieZhen observed her for several days, only growing more confused at this odd little lion. She seemed alone within the clan of dragons, perfectly content among them. She did avoid letting the dragons too close, all except for one who she went out of her way to interact with.
XieZhen couldn't understand, why did this lion live with dragons, where was her pride?
Giving in to his curiosity in the charming kitten, he finally revealed himself to her when she was alone. She was shocked, and overjoyed, and confused when she saw him. It was only a moment before she rushed up to him, twining her body against his and rubbing her crying face against his chest.
When she eventually composed herself, a bright grin filled her face, he finally learned her name. Acacia. The two shared their stories with one another, their words flooding the the forest around them for hours, before the two finally calmed and simple laid with one another in joyful silence.

XieZhen had made the choice to stay with her before he even realized. He found them a large cavern a good distance from the main clan hall and the two began living together, a pride of two. With Acacia's help he made arrangements to become a warrior for the clan, giving them the alliance of their young pride. He was assigned to battle in the Mire alongside a rather untrustworthy imperial dragon named Joker. Despite his reservations about his partner, XieZhen did his job well several times a week, wearing a lion pelt while working alongside Joker, doing his best to seem like someone that the unstable dragon shouldn't mess with.
