Atticus

Atticus is the lairs most proficient magic user. He also acts as a general overseer of all the training of the dragons within the lair. Whether they are members of the clan, visiting from another clan or being trained to serve the Tidelord. He doesn't have any romantic views of the world at large, he is a realist. It's a harsh world in which they live and success requires sacrifice and discipline.

Atticus has very strict standards for himself and the members of the clan. This doesn't just include his militaristic attitude about all members of the lair being trained to their fullest ability in combat, but also in his views about the good of the whole taking priority over the good of one. He doesn't have a mate but is willing to breed if the clan has a need for him to. He sees it as his duty to the clans continued success.


Atticus's familiars are named Oberon and Yvaine. In spite of Quxiote being a complete tree-hugger in his opinion he trusts him completely with Oberon and Yvaine. His love for his pyswryms are his one soft spot. They rarely are required to stay in the bestiary. They live in Atticus's den and spend the day with Atticus as he attends to his duties. He recently figured out how to make himself match Yvaine, since he already kind of matches Oberon he will sport matching plumage with the familiar that presents itself.

Area of study: Training and training others is a full time job, he doesn't have time for "scholarly works". Sartorious has said on occasion that Atticus's area of study is paranoia.
