___Introduction
A member of the Lightning Collector sub-specie, Storm, much like his mate is neither a day nor night collector, rather he is of the mixed variant, allowing him to collect lightning at any time. Though he still collects lightning, helping out his mate when he can, Storm's primary role is that of a Guard, protecting those who he has been assigned to; which in this case is River. He is also a tactician, able to think ahead in battle or when moving the precious lightning that has been collected.

Personality
Protective • Determined Alert • Berserker Unlike many collectors, Storm isn't very reserved; his early experiences have shaped him to much to fully fall in with the breeds standard; but they also make him an efficient fighter. He is very protective of those he considers family and friends; and whilst this is most notable in regards to River; it also extends over the whole lightning collector subspecies. He is equally determined in making sure that none under his protection come to any harm and is always watchful when out and about. Normally he is watchful and alert, registering everything around him; however in certain situations he can go berserk, lashing out at an enemy with no concern to his own safety, those that know him tend to leave him alone until he calms down, or to fetch River to help. |

Description
Length: 4.21m • Wingspan: 6.29m Weight: 902.11kg Storm's length and wingspan are about average for a skydancer, however he is quite heavy; though only a fool makes the mistake of thinking he is fat, given his training as a guard it is all muscle bulk. He has several scars over his eyes, shoulder and legs, the remnants of his past; he wears navy wraps to help protect his body from the chaffing of his battlescale armor. He was born without genes, and after joining the Lightning Collectors he was engineered with the new genes python and morph, and at his own choice, as well as with scales to further provide defensive qualities when in battle. Storm's familiar is the Lightning Lancer, an acolyte of the Stormcatcher, simply named Lance, the lightning being is more than willing to help out in battle. |

_________________________________________________________________ ___History Found as an unhatched ice egg by a powerful clan of Show aligned dragons; the then unnamed guardian was raised for only one purpose, to breed youngsters who would immediately be 'sent' to the Shadowbinder; what the others could not predict was his protective nature, and after losing the first three that he'd sired, he went berserk; tearing through the brambles and dragons that guarded him and escaping from their grasp. Wounded, the guardian flew as far away as he could, over the waters of the Tidelord and into the lands of the Stormcatcher; finally, he collapsed, the loss of blood too great and he fell from the sky, expecting nothing but death. When he came to he found himself in the central hub of the Lightning Collectors, semi submersed in the pods; there Chii and the other high ranking Lightning Collectors talked with him; he was too mortally wounded as a guardian to survive for long, but they could re-engineer him as another breed; and as his colors matched the subspecies they offered him the option. At first he was reluctant, he had no desire to sire more offspring for just 'numbers', but seeing Chii with her own hatchlings changed his mind, despite the subspecies breeding to expand their gene pool. all hatchlings were treated with tender care and careful instruction. Several days later he was removed from his pod, his once large webbed form smaller, with feathers and the antennae and though his scars remained, he was now a skydancer, and he was named Storm. As with all the species, he started off as a grunt, simply collecting the lightning, until he had gained enough confidence to request training as a guard. During his training, he managed to acquire the specs for two of the newest genes, python and morph, and was engineered with them becoming the first python/morph lightning collector. As time passed, he also chose to have scales engineered onto him, as a another form of defense whilst fighting. Though he has since completed his Guard training, and wears the battlescale armor; he asked for further training in between his jobs, to better protect those he has has been assigned to, during which time he befriended the Lightning Lancer. Given Rivers rarity as a perfect Lightning collecter female it was no surprise when she was given her own 'personal' guard. She and Storm hit it off immediately, and are normally paired together. |

Storm has no known parents, as such his closest relationship is with River, the wildclaw female he was assigned to guard; though the species rarely mate out of love, there has been no resistance to the relationship between River and Storm.He adores River with his whole soul and will use everything in his power to protect her.
Cataclysm is the first of his hatchling's that Storm has ever spent time with; and like his mate he is exceptionally proud of him, especially given the swiftness of him climbing the ranks; he looks forward to the times when Cataclysm joins River on her travels, during that time he can keep a protective eye on them both. Rise is a younger imperial who has trained under Storm to become a guard, though he has since completed it, the two remain in contact and have been known to work together in various outings. Anvindr is Storm's best friend after River, the blind male having formed a deep bond when Storm came to rescue him and they became trapped beneath a fallen generates out in the wastes, it took both of their skills to escape. Storm has nothing but the highest regard to what the other male has been through and when not with River will help out the pearlcatcher. |
