Nakhla

This dragon has the mind and drives of a stereotypical scientist, being methodical, curious, and single-minded to the point that she gets so wrapped up in her work that she fails to notice all the irrelevant distractions around her. Irrelevant distractions like basic social niceties, elementary fashion sense, or indeed other dragons altogether. (This is less disconcerting than the equally rude intense focus that would come with her studying you, though, so most of her clanmates bemusedly tolerate her quirks--or at least try to complain quietly enough that they won't catch her eye and become her next "project.") Though probably the smartest dragon in Athaza, she has a lesser share of common sense than most; she also has a tendency to grow so absorbed in her cogitations she'll occasionally walk right into a wall or tree, another trait which affords other dragons much amusement at her expense. Fellow brainy dragons with a tendency to hero-worship her defend this latter tendency of hers by insisting she simply has too lofty and noble of goals and thought processes for those morons busy sniggering at Nakhla and her poleaxed "treeface" to even begin to comprehend.

The other joke going around is that she's too intent on bugs and invisible microbes to see the opposite sex, much less take the mental time and effort to actually find one she's attracted to. That didn't stop her from catching the eye of handsome blonde-winged Perendi, though, or the antler-polishing artist Vaalbara, both of whom seem to find her absent-minded quirkiness adorable and endearing.
