The world of Sornieth is a magnificent world, with all its creatures, wonders and magic, that gives the lands its precious value and life. But unfortunately, this great magic attracted evil. Darkness, an entity, as deadly as it was powerful: The Shade. The Shade was destroyed and ruined the magical lands, taking the lifeforce of the magical creatures, growing stronger for every creature it got its claws onto.
The first eight Gods united their powers, they attacked The Shade with such force that shattered it. Relieved and happy that The Shade was gone, the dragons praised their Gods and everything seemed good. However, celebrations were made too soon. Even with the combined power of the Gods, they had only weakened The Shade, not destroyed it.
Some didn’t believe The Shade was gone. Myths were told, that The Shade sought refuge within the darkness itself, The Tangled Wood. Slowly regaining its powers, by possessing creatures or even worse, the dragons themself. Feeding off their magic and emotions, The Shade was slowly getting its powers back to seek its revenge of the Gods and take what it claims as its own..
Today dragons of the night already inhabit and roam these woods, but others have entered in hopes of finding The Shade. Each of them with their own purpose, to help the Gods destroy the evil or exploit its powers.
Who is your friend, who is your foe? You may never know who or what is lurking within the darkness.
