Reign is as unlike others of his ilk as he possibly can be; in fact, the only similarity he seems to share with his fellow Arcanites is the vibrant fuchsia color of his eyes. He is incurious, apathetic, and scientifically inept, and his interest in the cosmos extends only as far as fiction. To put it plainly, while his kin gaze toward the heavens, Reign gazes toward the sci-fi section of the local book store, which he happens to own and operate.

One thing can be said of him, however: he is dedicated to his work, almost unhealthily so. He may not pursue knowledge beyond draconic reckoning, but he does pursue, and, perhaps, this makes him more of an Arcanite than his peers give him credit.

Where he acquired such an odd disposition, none can say. He speaks little of his life before settling in Feldspar and even less of his distant youth. His parents, he claims, are long gone into the service of the Arcanist; the time he spent with them felt fleeting and meaningless, so he sees no reason to bore his clanmates with retellings of an altogether drab childhood. As for the rest, he describes it as a series of disconnected moments, none of which seemed as if they truly belonged to him, and Feldspar is the first place he has considered worthy of calling “home.”

He is unusual, make no mistake, but he appears to be content in his eccentricity.
