Usually darker toned, common vampires bear darker primaries, as well as varied secondaries and tertiaries. These being often seen, aren't as feared, but are well known. People will always avoid them if they are found to be a vampire. Hoarder Vampires: Pearlcatchers - True Vampires have their pearls, instead of being made purely of saliva, made of solidified blood instead. They look at it as a sense of their “vampiric bloodline” and take pride in building it up of either their own, or others blood. -Strigoi's been around since before Portalpoint became what it is today, so his vampiric nature is fairly common knowledge. But he and his half-vampire mate Aiona were the main healers to both Portalpoint and the Portal's residents for as long as anyone can remember, and his skill in healing magic has saved many lives. He's never harmed a patient or his many friends, and the blood donation system he and Aiona helped start up not only helps keep them (and the other vampires) sane, but has also helped many others as well, saving the lives of dragons and beastclan alike who've suffered from blood loss. Still, newcomers tend to be hesitant at best about being treated by a vampire, or even being near one in general, so he typically isn't the first doctor most normal dragons see if they need Portalpoint's hospital. -He and Aiona technically have a lair at the hospital, but their true home is in the Portal, with the other Vampires. Since Strigoi is the Vampire that's been here the longest, he's the unofficial leader of the vampires-not that he does much, but he does keep the Vampires of the Portal from attacking or being attacked by others. He also usually introduces new Vampires to the Portal and to the hospital's blood supply, so they don't need to attack the Portalpoint residents. And when there aren't many patients at the hospital, Strigoi researches the different strains of vampirism each member has, in the hopes of lessening the downsides to being a vampire, or even curing them if they want...although so far his research has been mostly focused on vampire sunscreen and blood alternatives. -Unknown to most in Portalpoint, he is not as ancient as he seems. He's old compared to many, true, and he certainly acts like it-but he's much, much younger than the true ancients. He also was not born a vampire, but unlike many he was not turned into what he is today by another. His mother was supposedly a warrior, while his father was a healer, yet supposedly wanted for blood magic...is it really any surprise that Strigoi somehow went a step further than the both of them, even if the transformation itself was an accident? -Text -Text -Text -Text -Text -Text -Text -Text -Text -Text |
