History:

Six's egg was stolen from her parents long before she was hatched for use in a mad scientist's cruel experiments to perfect dragonkind. She and the other nine dragons in his posession were named for the order of their hatching, which became the order in which they were 'tested' every day. The tests ranged from those of intelligence, which Six excelled in, to endurance, with which she struggled. Her poor physical performance caused her to fall behind the other eight subjects, which was both a blessing and a curse. Her worse scores made her an easy target for bullying to try to win their captor's favour, but also lessened the scientist's interest in her. This gave her time to plan, and eventually she was able to engineer her escape by jamming the lock to her cell and setting fire to the lab. Though she had planned to escape on her own, as Six tried to leave she felt guilt over leaving the others to perish and so decided to help them escape too. She managed to free One, Three and Five, but when she tried to open Two's cell it became stuck. Six tried to help them pry it open, but the raging fire had already done too much damage and the ceiling caved in. Her wings were crushed, but Five was able to drag her out alive; this was the only and last kindness the other experiments would show her, as the three other survivors left her then to fend for herself with no way to fly.

Six, however, was determined not to die. With what little strength she had left, Six dragged herself through the freezing wilderness until she found the town of Ashguard, where she finally collapsed. When she came to, she found herself under the care of Raion, who offered to replace her wings with prosthetics. Six agreed, and once they were complete became fascinated by the mechanisms, so much so that she begged Raion to take her on as an apprentice. At first he refused, as he had already apprenticed another dragon, but Six was persistent enough that he eventually gave in - Fortunately for both her and the apprentice, Phoenix, as she and Six quickly developed feelings for each other.

In the many years since, Six has become official partners with Phoenix, and now specialises in crafting prosthetic wings. She chose to keep her name as though she hates the scientist who gave it to her, she wants to remember the other experiments. They may not have been kind to her, but she still mourns for them and the lives they were denied.
