You showed me the courage of stars

Peregrin finds it ironic that he's tasked with helping keep everyone on course when most dragons in the troupe are plenty skilled with direction. However, after many years spent with those dragons, he's come to understand it better. After all, even those with the best sense of direction can become distracted and overall a bit lost every now and again, and though the winds are ever-changing, the stars are not.

He started travelling with the troupe in his youth, hungry for knowledge and adventure. He decided to stay after meeting Merry, and the two are very happy with their lot. It also doesn't hurt that the troupe goes to all sorts of interesting places and meets all sorts of interesting creatures along the way. It's a win-win situation, really, and he would be very foolish indeed to pass that up!
