Biography
~History~ Enthusiastic is how one would describe the nature of the wandering dragon named Arcadian. Free as the winds of the land he was born in, just as the breeze he can be swept from land to land, happy as can be. The storyteller without a clan can be seen entertaining a nest filled with brave, adventurous hatchlings and next he could be gone, running off to new places. Arcadian has always been like this. Ever since he first exited the swirling shell of the wind laid egg in a nest high on a cliff, he had been the first of four siblings to exit that nest. Since the day he learned to walk he explored, one could never get him to stand still for a moment. If it were possible to keep him on a leash, little Arcadian would find his way out of it and be gone i a flash. Despite being kept in the confines of a cliffside lair, troublesome Arcadian never ceased to amaze his clanmates with his ability to find new places to go, and new crevices that even the adults hadn’t even explored. The elders of his clan often said that it was as if Windsinger himself lived within this young dragon, and that he was destined to see the world.

However, this worried his poor mother. She feared for his safety, bus she also feared that her son would wander too far and be lost to her forever. For years she tried to prevent him from going outside the lair, telling all of the clan to keep eyes out for Arcadian and his mischief. This worked, and annoyed the wildclaw to no end, as he could not leave and explore the outside world. In his earlier adolescent years, this coddling from his mother turned to resentment as she would not allow his curiosity to be stated. Until the year of his tenth birthday. Upon celebration of a drago turning from adolescent to adult, he was given a satchel and allowed out of the lair for the first time. And that was the day Archadian never looked back. Spreading his wings he flew off from his cliffside home to new adventures and new lands. He went from clan to clan, meeting new faces along the way, gaining friends, and even temporary homes he could always come back to. However, the kindness of some was shattered by the hatred of others. Especially those he saw from the Southern Icefield, and the Ashfall Waste. With his adventures to the icy delta he was greeted with hearts cold as the winds that blew through. Even those who ran shops would not allow him out of the area without first sifting through everything he had, some even having the audacity to steal from him. Arcadian turned high tail to that place and never returned. The fires of the Ashfall were the same. Moody, work orientated dragons lived there, and though passionate about what they do they were quick to explode on someone who knew not of their customs. Arcadian learned quickly in the lava strewn land that he would either have to leave those dragons alone or adapt to their way of things and stay awhile. However staying was something he never did for long, and he moved on quickly from the heat. Years passed and still he had never seemed to fit himself into a clan of his own. Few times he was joined by someone else on his travels, but rarely was he kept with longer than a few days when the companion he gained arrived to their destination. He never kept traveling partners long, even familiars never seemed to last as they always found their home elsewhere. For Arcadian, being alone was something he was accustomed to, but he would never truly feel happy as he was when he was with someone. There are hopes that some day he would find someone who would wander with him for more than just a few select days or weeks. No, he wanted a partner for life, he had just yet to find them.

~Meeting the Clan (WIP)~ He had not expected to come across a clan of dragons in a remote area of Lightning territory. However when he stumbled onto Larka and her nomadic band, he was instantly intrigued by their lifestyle, and decided that he would stick around to discover more about them as the weeks rolled by. He learned very quickly, that they were just as efficient as any other Lightning-made clan, but they all did it without the help of any elaborate machines. The limited amount of electricity that they would use was provided by lightning produced from a number of the dragons living within the clan. They would also pack their sparse belongings onto sturdy carts ;that also held large hide tents; and roll out and move. Only staying in one place for no longer than a single season. Every move they made, it seemed like they would come closer and closer to one of the borders of the territory.

~Life In The Clan~ Arcadian, while in the nomadic Clan, has found that his restlessness or need of something new, has lessened as everyday seems to bring some form of adventure to him. While he still feels like every place they settle is not a forever home, he is content with the Dragons that he has come to travel with. Larka, the brave and wise leader, has even given him something to do that keeps his mind busy and the clan always happy; he is the one that lets the Clan know when it is time to move on. He helps organize scavenging and keeps the Clan’s resources fresh and full. He has proven to be a useful asset within the Clan. Arcadian is a very extroverted Dragon, and this has helped him communicate with and keep in contact with many Dragons. He likes to make new friends and even get into some trouble by asking too many questions or talking about his accomplishments and life. His pride is his prize possession. He is known to speak greatly of himself, but he is also known to be very just and is willing to stand up for anything that he deems wrong. During his time in the clan, he has learned different aspects of being nomadic; their quickness, hardiness, and adaptability. This has all taught him great lessons, and allowed him to live a fuller life. In his time with the Clan, Arcadian had fathered many Welps, but due to his preferences, he never did believe in a monogamous relationship. He is very open about himself and would rather love every dragon than no dragon. He also found it hard to keep track of all the Welps he had, and often times than not, would lose all contact. He does hope for the best with them though. Arcadian is loyal to himself and when he feels the need arise to seek adventure and fortune, he will take it upon himself to look for these. They have taken him many different, and interesting places, but something always calls to him. He looks to the sky for answers, and has brought these up to Larka. He found her company and wisdom to be a great help. One night while looking at the horizon, something had started to call to Arcadian. He felt the urge to leave again. Larka had confronted him, noticing his restless movements.

“You look like you’re ready to jump at any second, Arcadian.” Larka’s voice came in. She always had a soft, yet nurturing voice. “Larka,” He looked at her, his ears flicking. “I was just looking at the sky. It always gets me excited.” “Yes. As it does for every Dragon in the Clan. We live in the sky. It allows us to follow our hearts.” She gave him a smile. He nodded, dipping his head. He couldn’t help but feel a little electricity in his veins. He wanted to go see where the horizon would take him next. “What do you see out there?” She asked, bringing his attention back to her. He tilted his head and looked back at the horizon that was beginning to turn a fiery orange as the sun set. “Adventure.” He said. “Ah yes. I see opportunity. You have done well for us Arcadian. We have been quite happy with your help.” She gave him a long look into this eyes. He flicked his ears again and tapped his claw on the ground, only this time feeling like the wind was trying to carry him. She let out a small chuckle. Looking back at the horizon, she nodded, “We will go. Wherever that horizon stops, so will we.” She looked at him and with that, turned and left. This left Arcadian with excitement and happiness. He knew that his life could be complete, even when he always yearned for something. Throughout his time in the Clan, Arcadian had taken it upon himself to travel on his own, coming and going as he pleased, but he always came back with a story to tell, a gift for the Clan, or a new destination. His time in Larka’s Clan was well spent, and he sees himself happily doing and being him for the rest of his days.

"Day Dreamer"
Large chunks of his time are spent dreaming about what could be. "Passive" He despises conflict, and tries to avoid it at all costs. However that definitely doesn't mean he can't defend himself. "Story Teller" Likes to tell the stories about his adventures. Most of which have been warped by his adventurous brain to be much more grand than their reality.
