Atrya. The One in the Forest. He goes by many names that were picked up during his travels. There's not a soul in the land who doesn't know of him. His endless pursuit of knowledge led him to discover things that weren't meant to be. No other mortal being has seen as much as he has. Regardless, Atrya undoubtedly earned the title of Sage time and time again. As such, he reportedly has a "difficult" relationship with Alkahest, simply because she hasn't "earned" all the attention she gets. What, exactly, does that mean? Nobody knows. No one understands Atrya.

He's also the only dragon to ever choose to live in the Nightfall Forest. All the others are either trapped here or were unfortunate enough to have lived in the original forest when the Storm arrived. By some power he seems to be able to leave at will, and he can point to the entrance from anywhere. He's probably the best bet for getting out of this place.

He favours gemstones and enjoys scented candles. Often the only sign that he's been anywhere is the slight lingering flavour of whatever that week's fragrance was. Perhaps orange. That one always seems to come up early in his rotation. Are they cheaper? On sale? Where does he even get so many candles anyway?

Candles aside, he's always followed by a black vapour with a certain scent. It's familiar, but you just can't place it. You've definitely smelt it before.

Many unanswered questions began to surround Atrya as he became less and less prevalent. Where does he come from? Why did he choose to live in the Nightfall Forest, a place reserved almost exclusively for spirits? Is he dead? What has he seen? What has he done? Why is he followed by smoke?
