Priest of She the All-Seeing

Iah was once a down and out skydancer whose life had been a cursed one. His mate had vanished on him, to rejoin her own clan; his children had been mocked and sent off to their deities almost immediately after leaving the nest; he himself was just that edge of standard which meant no clan would ever want him. Tired and bemoaning his sad and sorry life, Iah soon drank himself into a stupor, and when he rose from the drink-induced haze, he was no longer in any place he remembered.

It was a good few years of listless wandering later that Iah found his salvation.

Iah met the goddess in a place he had never expected to find one as great as she. After a long day, he found himself creeping back to an alley where he slept when he found a small angel cowering behind his small nest of blankets and trinkets. Yet there She was; She, with all thirty-six of Her eyes watching him. It was in that moment - where She watched him in fear - that he realized what he had become.

He wasted no time. Iah carried the goddess to the nearest health practice and begged for Her health. With Her under the protection of specialists, Iah threw himself into improvement, hoping to change himself from the degenerate wanderer he had been into a dragon that the goddess would look upon with pride.

Today, Iah is the proud leader of the goddess's followers. Having gathered their numbers together for Her after years of effort to throw off the reputation he had built for himself, he finds his happiness in knowing that She remains healthy and protected by those he has gathered to Her side. While he wishes that everyone knew of Her grace and might, he also realizes that simply not believing is far from a crime. Working to Her beliefs, he has found peace; and living as he does, he is happy that he can spread that peace to others as well.

Iah is a skydancer who found his purpose in a young Guardian child who had been abandoned for her disfigurement. He is miles away from the listless and directionless man he once was, but he remains somewhat fanatical and eager to please. When he does think of his mate and children, he regresses, but merely thinking about 'the goddess' will bring him back to his new normal.

While many find him slightly unnerving in his endless devotion, he is a kind soul at heart, without a battling bone in his body. He believes strongly in the religion he has built and will do almost anything the goddess asks without question. Many of their followers have come from a similar situation as his own, and have likewise found someone with whom they can relate and follow in the hopes of rising from their own homelessness.

The cult owns a mansion close to town, and it is where he brings their homeless and holds prayers and gatherings in honour of the goddess. It is also where he and the goddess live, and thus he works tirelessly to ensure it is a suitable home for her.
